How a submission works

Received. Recorded. Ready.

There is no central state inbox for DAS forms. Every apprenticeship committee runs its own intake. DAS Report turns yours into a record your whole team can trust.

  1. 01 · Received

The contractor submits on your page.

A branded form on your website or a hosted page, with no account to create. Uploads are checked for file type and integrity before they are accepted.

  2. 02 · Recorded

    Stamped, receipted and filed.

A unique reference and a receipt PDF for both sides. The receipt time is locked, and the record is kept for ten years by default.

  3. 03 · Ready

Your team finds it in seconds.

Search by company, license, project or reference. Original documents, receipt, notes and activity sit together on one record.

On the record

Built so the record holds up.

Each of these is enforced by the system itself, not left to a setting someone can forget.

01

A receipt time no one can change.

Every submission is stamped the moment it arrives. The time is locked in the database, so there is one answer when someone asks.

Locked at the database
02

Records that stay put.

Staff add notes and update status. Submissions, original documents and the activity log can’t be deleted from the portal.

No delete in the portal
03

Kept for ten years.

Every record carries a retain-through date ten years from receipt, well past the 12 months Labor Code 1777.5 asks programs to keep this information.

Kept 10 years by default
04

Know who opened what.

Previews, downloads, status changes, notes and resent emails are logged with the staff member and the time.

Activity log on every record
05

A receipt for both sides.

Contractors get a unique reference and a timestamped PDF receipt. Your team keeps the same receipt beside the original documents.

Reference + receipt PDF
06

See every bounced confirmation.

Confirmation emails retry automatically. Delivered, bounced and failed results show on your dashboard, so nothing goes quiet.

Ask your current system

Five questions about your DAS intake.

If any answer is “no” or “I’m not sure,” your records depend on an inbox, a shared folder or a form tool built for something else.

Ask us to walk through the answers
  1. 01Can the receipt time on a submission be changed?
  2. 02Can someone delete a record or an original document?
  3. 03Can you see who opened a file, and when?
  4. 04Do you know when a contractor’s confirmation bounced?
  5. 05Could you find a 2019 submission in under a minute?

More than a form submission

Build stronger connections with the contractors you serve.

Those interactions can open the door to conversations about apprenticeship opportunities, workforce needs, and how your organization can help.

A few good questions

Before you get started.

What is DAS Report?

DAS Report is a submission and record-management platform for California apprenticeship programs, including union and association programs, collecting DAS 140 and DAS 142 documents. It connects a branded public form with a staff workspace, document archive, receipts, notifications, and reports.

Can we use it on our existing website?

Yes. Your organization can use a hosted submission page, an embedded form on your website, or both.

How do we get started?

Choose Sign Up to get started with the organization plan.

What is the difference between DAS 140 and DAS 142?

DAS 140 provides contract award information. DAS 142 requests apprentice dispatch. Sending an award notice does not request apprentices. Both are directed to the applicable apprenticeship committees.See official California DAS resources
